GDPR privacy statement
May 25, 2018 at 10:27 AM

Here you can read the GDPR related privacy statement for this website. Besides this fancy legal blablah be assured: I never intended to collect or even stored any data that was not explicitly created for my eyes apart from technically necessary context (e.g. my webserver needs to know your IP address to send you back the website you just requested). I really consider data to be a very valuable good, that's why I never really joined the social network hype, although I'm deeply interested in online communication.

Amveco Datasheets
Feb 16, 2014 at 09:11 PM

Over the last weeks I was pretty much swamped with designing a new multichannel gadget for the company I work for. As everyone involved in R&D knows, most of it is just hours and days of investigation and research. Ideally, most of this is done on real parts, but there is always more than enough details to be derived from the appropriate datasheets of the manufacturer.

While getting your data from datasheets (irony!) can be a very clean and obvious process, there are still lots of companies handing out mediocre documentation at best. Usually our friends from far east occupy the first ten slots in the category "worst datasheet known to mankind", but not this time! A US company made it straight to pole, the name is Amveco and they make some really nice torodial transformers.

Attacks from plusserver.de
Feb 09, 2014 at 03:55 PM

For the last three days, an amateurish brute force dictionary attack from took place and stole my bandwidth with a malicous background (please - who still has unsecure credentials on a publicly available SIP server in 2014?). That IP address belongs to the (in such concerns) not so reputable ISP in germany plusserver.de.
